Building the Capacity of the Tri-County Manufacturing Industry Consortia -- $45,000
This grant, comprised of three parts, will build capacity for the individual and collective consortia through:
- Planning and implementation of a recruitment campaign to bring new members into each consortium
- Development of an employer-needs matrix outlining core competencies and barriers for hiring and retaining workers
- Development of a plan to determine a set of training recommendations for incumbent workers designed to meet the common needs
Tri-County Manufacturing Consortia Incumbent Worker Training -- $125,000
Defined high priority training needs for incumbent workers were determined by the Consortia. The first three will include certificate programs in human resources, management and lean manufacturing.
